Keiko Matsui (born July 26, 1961) is a Japanese keyboardist and composer who began her career with the band Cosmos before releasing her solo debut A Drop of Water in 1987. Her 1995 album Sapphire reached No. 1 on Billboard's Contemporary Jazz chart, and she has recorded and toured internationally while collaborating with artists such as Bob James and Richard Bona. Matsui has also performed benefit concerts (including at the United Nations) and released numerous albums across a multi-decade career.
