About
Formed in 2011 by vocalist Jenna "JP" Pup and guitarist Esem (originally as +HIRS+), the group evolved into a rotating, collaborative collective. They released full-length albums Friends. Lovers. Favorites. (2018) and We're Still Here (2023) — the latter featuring dozens of guest contributors and broad press attention. The HIRS Collective is widely noted for prolific DIY releases and outspoken activism in support of trans and queer communities.
