The St. Louis Independent Comics Expo (SLICE) is St. Louis’s premier annual indie-print showcase, bringing together over 100 writers and artists from St. Louis and beyond to showcase their self-published books, comics, zines, prints, magazines, poetry, and more. Programming throughout the day will include lectures and workshops by SLICE’s special and featured guests, as well as activities provided by local artists and organizations. SLICE 2026 takes place on October 31, 10 a.m.–5 p.m., at The Sheldon Concert Hall and Art Galleries. The expo is free to attend and open to the public.

SLICE’s 2026 special guests are Eisner Award-winning illustrator of This Place Kills Me, Nicole Goux; Atlanta-based indie publishing company WildStar Press; and Crystal Odelle, a St. Louis-based storyteller and author of Trans Studies. SLICE’s 2026 featured guests are comics writer Dave Scheidt, publisher Shay Mirk of nonfiction comics press Crucial Comix, and SLICE’s 2026 poster illustrator Cleonique Hilsaca.
